Kevin Beardmore was selected as the president of Southeast New Mexico College by the college's Board of Trustees Oct. 17.At a special meeting of the Board, board member Sarah Jo Bowman announced the board would offer Beardmore a three year contract with an annual salary of $200,000.In a statement following his selection Beardmore said he was "honored and humbled" by the offer.'Building upon over seven decades as the primary postsecondary provider for the community, it is poised to realize its incredible potential as the newest public college in New Mexico I look forward to working with the students, faculty, staff, Board of Trustees, and all the college's stakeholders to create a brighter future for Carlsbad and the region," Beardmore said.
